Depiction of a deep pool at the base of a green hill and in a green area. At the left of the pool the paint looks like a man's head from the top. We look down on his hair, his brow and the top of his nose. He guards the deep blue pool which is interpreted to be the creative power of woman. The waved blue-green stream lying horizontally across the bottom third of the painting suggests floating movement which accentuates the fixed position of the Guardian honoring his self-appointed task of watching over the generative pool.
